In Love with an Angel

Falling for an angel,

is probably unwise.

Give her a flirtatious wink.

Is that a twinkle in her eyes? 

Or flash an adoring smile,

and see if there’s a spark.

Her feelings are masked by vows,

and expressions may go dark.

If you want to keep on trying,

It may be quite one-sided.

Unless your will is stronger, 

than with whom you have collided.

For she’s committed to another,

Who goes by G-O-D.

He signs his name with lightning,

and has plans for you and me.

But don’t give up too quickly,

because to her nothing compares,

As with such a celestial partner,

you’ll get answers to all your prayers.
